Eyelet Setting Tool
This tool has been designed and made (in NZ, by a local manufacturer) to match our eyelets, and to easily produce a smoothly rolled eyelet with no splitting at the back. Made from hardened tooling steel, this tool is very strong and with proper care should last for years. Used correctly on a firm surface, you don't need to smash the eyelets in, five or six firm taps will do the job. It's better to go lighter, check the eyelet, and then give it a few more taps if it's not set tight enough.
Due to the nature of the tooling steel, we (as well as our manufacturer) highly recommend using a nylon hammer or a rubber mallet rather than a standard metal hammer. This will prevent any damage to the tool, and it's quieter too which is always good!
Tool base measures approximately 22mm diameter, 20mm height. Tool handpiece measures approximately 15mm diameter and 75mm in length. Eyelet tool only, eyelets and washers not included.
